A prospective study in surgical management of neck of femur fracture using cementless modular bipolar prosthesis

Hip fractures are one of the most common injuries, mainly seen in elderly emergency setting. It can also be young patients like athletes or who met with a high energy trauma. Cementless stems do not lead such complications therefore no chance so-called ‘cement reaction’ bone cement implantation syndrome (BCIS).The purpose this study assess functional outcome life scores intracapsular fracture femoral treated by uncemented hemiarthroplasty (UCHA) using bipolar prosthesis.Materials Methods: Patients having were admitted Bapuji Hospital Chigateri General Hospital, attached J.J.M. Medical College, Davangere taken for after obtaining their consent. This prospective from October 2019 2021.Results: Data was collected based on detailed patient evaluation respect history, clinical examination radiological examination. Out 20 cases, all available follow up till year which as basic pre-requisite inclusion study. In our study, final Harris Score calculated at end follow-up averaged 85.4 maximum score being 95 minimum 63. Our data showed that 8 (40%) achieved excellent result 1 surgery, 7 (35%) Good result, 3 (15%) fair 2 (10%) poor result. Overall, 75% an good results comparable standard studies done context hemiarthroplasty. duration short enough assessing longevity endurance used.Conclusion: Uncemented Modular Bipolar permits return it provides better range movement, freedom pain any untoward cardiac event period. considered option select group.
